Choosing Your Framed Art Piece.
This is such a beautiful part of your journey, choosing how to honour you.
Your framed image is more than something to hang on a wall; it’s a reminder of the moment you decided to give something back to yourself. A tangible reflection of your own power, growth, and beauty. It’s not just a photo you did only “for fun.” Each image holds memories, how you felt before your session, the shifts that happened during it, and the way you saw yourself when you first opened your gallery.
It’s you. You’re the art. So, choosing which image to frame can feel a little daunting… I get it. And this article is here to help you choose the photograph (or photographs) that resonate most deeply with you and fit seamlessly into your home.
Step 1: Choose Your Favourite Images
Start by creating a shortlist of your favourites.
If you’re planning to frame one hero image, take your time narrowing it down, it may take a few tries. Which feels most powerful?
If you’re envisioning a gallery wall or a multi-image frame, start building a “favourites” collection from your gallery.
If you’re framing multiple images consider these simple tips:
Mix your images – include both close-up, portraits and/or wider landscape shots.
Add atmosphere – include nature imagery or abstract close-ups to balance your collection.
Avoid repetition – skip images that look too similar in pose or expression.
Keep colour harmony in mind – group similar tones together (sunset hues, earthy greens, or neutral).
Vary the mood – include a mix of direct gazes, soft moments, and candid smiles.
Step 2: Choosing the Right Size
Where will your art live? A small piece can get lost on a large wall, while a large frame can overwhelm a small space. Try using masking tape to outline your chosen size on your wall, it will help you visualise how it will feel in the room.
A few general tips:
Large wall space: go for one or two statement frames, or a gallery wall of smaller prints.
Smaller wall: one medium-sized print can make the space feel grounded and balanced.
Step 3: Colour or Black & White?
This comes down to what feels right.
Black and white imagery brings a timeless, fine-art mood that feels elegant and classic.
Colour images, on the other hand, carry the warmth of natural tones, that the earthy, grounding palette that Oasis is known for.
When deciding, consider your home’s aesthetic, the colours on the wall, nearby furniture, and the feeling you want the image to bring into the space.
A simple rule to follow is to match the tones of your frame and image to your existing interior colours for a cohesive look.
Step 4: Choosing Your Frame Style & Colour
Your frame colour sets the tone for how your artwork feels in your space, so here are a few things to consider. If you’ve chosen black and white prints, you can’t go wrong with either a black or white frame.
A black frame anchors the image beautifully, especially if it has darker tones, it adds structure and elegance.
A white frame works well when your image has softer, lighter areas, it feels fresh, clean, and contemporary whilst letting the print speak loudly.
For colour prints, start by looking at the tones within your image, the warmth of the skin, the hues of nature, the mood of light. Then, consider the surrounding elements in your room, the wall tone, furniture, and other artworks nearby.

Step 5: Choosing Your Glass
It’s easy to feel lost here, so here’s a quick breakdown:
Standard Glass: It’s reflective and shiny (like glass is) and most commonly used as it’s included in your frame price. It’s best used away from direct sunlight, as UV rays can fade your print over time.
Art Glass UV Protection: Museum-grade protection that blocks 99% of harmful UV rays, helping preserve colour and quality.
Art Glass AR (Anti-Reflective + UV Protection): The premium choice. Reduces glare to almost none and provides crystal-clear viewing while still offering 70% UV protection. If you want your artwork to feel gallery-level in quality and clarity, this last option is a beautiful investment.
Choosing your framed artwork is a deeply personal process. It’s about honouring a version of yourself that was seen, celebrated, and captured in her truth. Let this piece be a daily reminder of your softness and your strength, the woman you were in that moment and the one you continue to become.
Every time you pass it by, may it bring you back to that feeling, the confidence, the freedom, the self-love that led you here.
