How do you currently feel towards your physical body?

I’m gradually becoming more comfortable in my body and feeling more grounded in how I see it. This journey has helped me move out of my head and embrace my body for what it truly is.

In what ways has your relationship with your body evolved over time?

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to realise that my appearance isn’t who I am. Embracing this truth has given me more freedom to express myself authentically. Forming meaningful friendships with other women has played a significant role in this shift. Body image struggles are so common, yet we support each other in understanding that we are worthy of love, regardless of our physical appearance.

What was the intention behind your shoot?

The intention was to release self-doubt, to dream boldly, and to embrace my unique expression while leaning into my femininity. It was about celebrating authenticity and stepping into my full self.

Finally, what advice would you give other women who are at the beginning of their journey to ‘coming home’ and embracing their bodies?

You don’t have to walk this journey alone, and you don’t need to have everything figured out. The journey may not have a clear endpoint, but it’s one of growing self-compassion and acceptance along the way.

When you’re in front of the camera, how do you feel as a woman expressing yourself?

With Mae behind the camera, I feel a sense of joy and excitement. As women, we’re often taught to suppress our fun and playful sides, so having the opportunity to embrace that in front of the camera feels incredibly affirming.

Do you struggle to express/show your body? Why?

Yes, I definitely struggle. There’s always been a self-critical voice telling me, "I'm not good enough," along with the illusion that I’ll feel happy or in control if I just "fix" this or that. While I work hard to not let those thoughts hold me back from doing what I want, it’s still a challenge to fully express and show my body at times.

Looking back at your shoot, how has this helped you?

The shoot helped me feel more comfortable in my own skin. Mae has a remarkable ability to create a supportive and safe environment. She truly understood what I wanted to express and guided me with encouragement every step of the way. It’s affirming to realise that we don’t have to navigate these journeys alone.
