When you’re in front of the camera, how do you feel as a woman expressing yourself?

Being in front of a camera has replenished my inner self; it has made me feel some kind of discomfort, but as soon as I focused my intention on myself, my expression, my body… it was liberating.

In what ways has your relationship with your body evolved over time?

There have been some significant moments throughout my life that were pivotal for the relationship I had with my body. Awareness and self love have been radical tools to get my power back. That’s why I decided to stand in front of a camera and look at my body in a different way, from a different perspective. To be aware of my own body, to love it and accept it more often. To talk to me more lovingly and kindly. To remind me of my natural energy. To step out of the patriarchal world and surrender to the power of nature, of Mother Earth.

What advice would you give to other women who are at the beginning of their journey to ‘coming home’ and embracing their bodies?

I would tell other women to embrace their imperfections, to see their bodies as a sanctuary. To truly embody self love and give themselves the opportunity to live a mystical shoot in nature.

How do you currently feel towards your physical body?

I currently feel reconnected to my femininity. I feel like there has been a lot of repression around bodies, a lot of “musts” to be able to fit into the structure of society.

What was the best part of your shoot?

The best part of my shoot was to have fun while doing what Mae was asking me to do. I kept smiling and having a sense of awe of where I was standing, of what I was living. The shoot allowed me to really be in the present moment. It allowed me to be myself, to be authentic.
